Montgomery County Workforce Data Available
The Montgomery County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) recently held a retreat to update its Strategic Plan. It commissioned Dr. Stephen Fuller, Dwight Schar Faculty Chair and University Professor and Director, Center for Regional Analysis at George Mason University to provide workforce and occupational data to guide the discussion. Dr. Fuller’s report is avalable online, in addition to the presentation he made during the retreat.
The data provided by Dr. Fuller reaffirmed that the WIB was working with key industries for the County as called for in its Strategic Plan. The WIB’s three targeted industries are health, professional and technical services ad food service/hospitality.

and county workforce investment funds, our one-stop workforce
centers in Gaithersburg and Wheaton serve over 10,000 job
seekers and employers each year.
MontgomeryWorks offers job seekers the tools and resources
to prepare for and obtain a job. Our fully staffed resource
centers provide daily job listings and access to computers,
printers, and fax and copy machines to aid your job search.
We also offer labor market information, career development
workshops, career counseling, and training referrals to
eligible job seekers. For employers, we provide a large
and diverse pool of skilled and qualified job seekers ready
for hire.
